December 1, 2007 - Ruby's birthdate
Dec 2010 – Looking at waiting kids on Reece’s Rainbow. See Hailey’s picture and would love to adopt her. It is not possible…we think. We are home with Anna and Victoria only 2 months. Praying for miss Hailey to find a family quickly.
June 2011 – A new picture of Hailey on Reece’s Rainbow brings her to our attention again. She is just beautiful! Still thinking of and praying for her. Adoption is still not an option, but we really are praying for this little girl, she needs a family!
July 2011 – Actually start researching adopting from China…the requirements, the process, and searching China adoption blogs. Trying to find out more info. We receive more pictures of Hailey to advocate as her 5/5/5 warrior. Prayed for her together as a family. Daniel really wants to adopt her.
July 25, 2011 – Received Hailey’s official fileAug 6, 2011 – First Homestudy visit, we're actually doing this again!!
Aug 12, 2011 – Sent application to WACAP and received Hailey’s file again PLUS videos!!!
Aug 17, 2011 – very special day but I can’t share details about that right nowSept 2, 2011 – PA!!!! (pre approval from China to adopt Hailey)
Sept 21, 2011 – received $4200 grant assistance from WACAP
Oct 15, 2011 – First draft of Homestudy sent to us to review
Nov 15, 2011 - another very special day - PA for Ruby!!!Nov 17, 2011 – Homestudy officially approved by the State of CO and WACAP!!!!
Nov 30, 2011 – Homestudy mailed to USCIS
Nov 30th and continued - Praying for quick processing of USCIS paperwork
Dec 1, 2007 - Ruby's 4th birthday!! We celebrate by having a cake for both girls (since we missed Hailey's birthday in July) we had a party for them both. So exciting!
Dec 2, 2011 - USCIS receives our application/homestudy
Dec 27, 2011 - Fingerprinted in Albuquerque, NM. Our original appt. dates were for Jan 5, 2012, but we went early. That is another little miracle in itself. Par for the course for this adoption, though...
Jan 19, 2012 - I800A approval! We received our I797 approval notice from USCIS in the mail.
Jan 31, 2012 - Dossier to China!!!! DTC
Feb 14, 2012 - LID - Log in date
The long LOA wait begins....
Mar 26, 2012 - our dossier moved from "in translation" to "in process". Yay!!
April 18, 2012 - LOA (62 days)
May 14th, 2012 - I800 approvals
