Two Months Home

We have been home with the girls just 2 months!  I can't believe how fast the time has gone and that we were flying home just 2 months ago today!  Wow!!

The girls are both doing great.  They're still adjusting to this new American life, but making progress every day.  Looking back, I can definitely see a difference. Sometimes it feels like they have been here forever and they should be understanding more or whatever, but when I think they've only been here 2 months, I'm amazed at how great they're doing!  :)   They are still learning the language (+ sign language, too), adjusting to all the new sights, smells, foods, and siblings and learning to bond with us.  They really are pretty happy most of the time and we are very thankful for that!

I thought I would post a few pictures from both girls' gotcha days and then a few recent pics.  It's hard to believe we were in China just 2 short months ago receiving these amazing blessings.

Oh and by the way, today is also the start of Down syndrome awareness month!  I hope that if you are reading our blog, we have made an impact (in a positive way) in your life and how you view people with Down syndrome.  Most of all I want people to know that these children have VALUE in this world! They are sweet and smart and funny and busy (like little tornadoes,,, ha ha), but most of all they are LOVED!!!

Happy Down syndrome Awareness Month!!!

Psalm 139:13-16

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
