Nanning

Well, we made it to Nanning!  We are thrilled to finally be in our daughters' country of birth!  It has made me much more emotional just being here...

Here's an update of how our Sunday went.

Daniel got to swim in the hotel pool in HK before we left!

We saw this cute little guy at the pool too.

Back at the Hong Kong airport.  Ready to head to Ch*na!

We went and checked our bags, got through security and then got some lunch at McDonald's (Daniel's choice).  Then we decided to go and find our gate.  We had about 3 hours so we were taking our time, looking around, etc.

You just don't see this type of thing in airports in the US.  Ha ha  I bit scary actually...

 Daniel watching the planes land.
We got to our gate and there was a big open area and we watched about 50-60 planes land.  I kid you not, they land about every 1-2 minutes.  That was fun for Daniel.  We even got to the point where we'd see another one coming and we were like..oh boy, here comes another...  Ha Ha.  This is one busy airport!!!

One of the many planes landing from all over the world.  And I do mean all over the world!!

We finally left and here's a few pics on our way to Nanning.

We flew over the water up the coastline of China.  There were lots of little islands and boats.  This one was pretty big and I wondered if it was Taiwan.  Don't laugh at me, my geography could be off, but from where I thought we were, it seemed to make sense.  Lol

First views of China when we headed inland.

 The land around Nanning.

Finally made it to the airport!!  It is so hot and humid here!  It was definitely more of a culture shock for us here than in HK.  It is very pretty here and very green!  By the time we got to the hotel, it was dark so we couldn't see much of the city except the city lights!   Here is a pic from outside our hotel this morning!  I couldn't believe my eyes!  This city is huge!

Ok well off to breakfast and to get ready for GOTCHA DAY today!!!!!  Yay!!!

Psalm 139:13-16

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
